The MFA Portals Update section allows administrators to edit and customize existing Multifactor Authentication (MFA) portals.

From this interface, users can adjust authentication parameters, assign or remove farm services, and modify the appearance and behavior of the authentication web portal.

When accessing an MFA portal from the MFA Portals View, the editing form is organized into three main tabs: Global, Farms, and Template.

Global Tab #

The Global tab contains all the general configuration fields defined during MFA portal creation.
These settings define the type of authentication, connection parameters, and access credentials required by the MFA system.

The available fields vary depending on the selected MFA Portal Type (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, Google Captcha v2, TOTP AD App) as defined during creation. The portal name and portal type are fixed identifiers and cannot be modified after creation.

Use this tab to update or correct settings from a given MFA portal as required by the authentication method.

Finally, press Submit to apply the changes in the MFA and the farms where it is assigned will be reloaded.

Farms Tab #

The Farms tab lists all available HTTP/S farm services where the selected MFA portal can be applied.

From this view, administrators can easily assign or unassign the MFA portal to control which backend applications or services require multifactor authentication. To enable MFA for a specific service:

1. Locate the desired farm service in the Available Farms list.
2. Select the service name and move it to the Enabled Farms list.
3. To remove MFA protection from a farm service, simply move the service name from Enabled Farms to Available Farms list.

Changes take effect immediately once saved, allowing flexible and quick deployment of MFA layers across multiple services.

Template Tab #

The Template tab allows customization of the web authentication portal presented to end users during the MFA process.

These settings modify the appearance, labels, and behavior of the portal interface, providing an opportunity to align it with organizational branding or user experience standards.

The customizable fields include:

  • Portal Title: The title displayed on the MFA web page.
  • Portal Button: The label text shown on the form submission button.
  • Portal URI: The relative URI endpoint for the authentication form.
  • Portal Form Fields: The names or identifiers of form fields displayed to the user (e.g., Username, Password, Token).

This flexibility allows administrators to design user-friendly authentication portals while maintaining a consistent look and feel across multiple MFA instances.

The MFA Portals Update interface thus provides full control over the configuration, assignment, and customization of authentication portals — ensuring that multifactor security can be deployed consistently, efficiently, and with minimal impact on user experience.
