# System | Logs

This section provides access to system and load balancer logs for problem analysis and detailed information on the appliance's internal behavior.

## Logs List

Logs are stored in the **/var/log** directory and are periodically rotated. Older logs are compressed in the format **syslog.*.gz**, with higher numbers indicating older logs.

Key elements include:

**File**. The log file name.
  **Date**. The date of the last modification or log entry.

## Logs Actions

The actions allowed for every log file are:

**Show**. Inspect the content of the log file.
  **Download**. Download the log file to your local machine.
