# System | Factory Reset

The Factory Reset section allows users to restore the load balancer to its original state. Use this feature with caution, as it will erase all configurations except for the management interface configuration. This process is irreversible. After completion, the system configuration will be lost, but backups and the activation certificate will remain intact.

You must select a management interface to back up some configuration, ensuring the load balancer remains reachable after the reset.

**Remove backups**. Check this option to delete all stored configuration backups during the factory reset.
  **I understand the consequences**. Check this option to enable the **Factory Reset** button.

To perform a factory reset, you need to acknowledge the confirmation message before clicking the **Factory Reset** button.
