# Monitoring | Farmguardians | Create

A user can extend **Farmguardian** by creating custom farmguardian checks. These custom checks can be based on existing ones, allowing you to modify their parameters and change the default behavior.

To create a new custom farmguardian check, follow these steps:

**Name**. Set a name for the new **Farmguardian** health check.
  **Copy farmguardian**. (Optional) Select an existing check from the suggested options to copy its properties.

Press the **Apply** button to confirm the new farmguardian profile.
